Truth. Are You Choosing It?

Have you noticed? At the end of the year, the people who truly care reveal themselves in the simplest ways. A letter, a quick text, a phone call, to say happy holidays. Today, someone new in my life did something unexpectedly kind, and it gave me so much perspective. It reminded me how often we hold on to what is no longer true, simply because it feels familiar or normalized.
The fact that this new person chose to acknowledge my effort was so impactful. It reminded me of impermanence. Those who once walked alongside us may now be focused elsewhere. And perhaps we are being invited to do the same, without resentment or resistance.
Lately, I have been observing with a curious mind how people are choosing to show up during this season. The holiday mall frenzy, the pressure to look perfect in photos, the constant performing, it is everywhere. And beneath all of that, there are deeper layers of the self quietly begging to be seen, to connect, and to heal and evolve. However, our fixation on permanence often limits us. We choose what is familiar, even when it no longer supports us, and as a result, resentment and frustration begin to surface.
Relationships, even the ones we have with ourselves, are always changing. Yet every holiday season, we try to replay the same movie. The same gatherings. The same expectations. The same roles we have outgrown. Maybe you don't enjoy baking that famous cake anymore. Maybe going to that relative’s house feels heavy because you know the questions are coming. And maybe just maybe you are just tired of pretending you are okay with it.
But do you actually have to?
This is where Satya, the yogic principle of truthfulness, gently steps in. Satya invites you to ask:
What is the truth I have been resisting, avoiding, or silently hoping would change?
What feels honest to my heart this season?
Where am I being called to choose differently?
Truth is not harsh. Truth is liberating. It frees you from repeating old patterns, old obligations, and old stories. It opens space for a new experience, one that honors who you are now, not who you were years ago.
So this reflection is an invitation. To choose from your heart. To stop recreating the old movie. To create from a place of honesty, alignment, and presence. To notice the changes that want to happen and allow them to unfold.
Reflection for your own heart:
✨ What truth is your heart whispering this season?
✨ Where are you being invited to choose differently?
I am excited to witness the magic and miracles that will enter your life when you choose truth, your truth.
With deep reflection, Lety
